132 Ave Renewal Phase 1: Starting the Conversation
Neighbourhood infrastructure and improvements play a huge role in shaping the use and feel of a community. Through Building Great Neighbourhoods, the City of Edmonton creates opportunities for community members to shape the future of their neighbourhood infrastructure.
132 Avenue between Fort Road and 127 Street has been chosen for collector renewal with construction anticipated to start in 2023.
We want to understand how you experience 132 Avenue and ask for your input on what we might do to make it better. For the communities along 132 Avenue and those that access the area, the 132 Avenue serves multiple functions – it’s a route to school, to work, or to social occasions. You may have a business or a home that faces onto the roadway, or maybe you make regular use of the leisure centres and community facilities located along and around 132 Avenue. Each person has a unique set of needs, and those needs change depending on their destination or mode of transportation.
Starting September 2020 and throughout the length of the concept planning process, we are inviting the public to provide input. It is an opportunity for community members and road users to reflect on your current use of 132 Avenue and the physical changes you would like to see to make 132 Avenue more usable and attractive. We commit to being open and transparent about how your input is used.
Let us know how you would like us to best communicate and engage with you! Take a short survey. If you prefer to participate in this survey via phone, please call Y Station, the contractor supporting us with this project, at (780) 447-7385 and leave a message with your name and phone number. One of Y Station’s team members will call you back.

Our Project
132 Avenue between Fort Road and 127 Street has been chosen for collector renewal with construction anticipated to start in 2023.
Renewal on 132 Avenue will rehabilitate the road, add missing sidewalk links, replace street lights, sidewalks and curb and gutters. Improving how people walk, bike, drive and gather in and around 132 Avenue will also be explored.
Cost sharing opportunities will be made available through the local improvement process for sidewalk reconstruction and decorative street light upgrades.
Planning and public engagement activities for 132 Avenue renewal will begin in September 2020 and extend until 2023. To review the 132 Avenue Renewal project page, please visit edmonton.ca/132Avenue.
