Building Great Neighbourhoods

Working together to make the most out of your neighbourhood.

This is your city and your neighbourhood. We want to understand how you experience your neighbourhood and ask for your input on what we might do to make it better. We will engage and work with you on the renewal of roads, sidewalks, streetlights and park spaces, and promote other community opportunities to enhance how people live and interact in your neighbourhood. We commit to being open and transparent about how your input is used.

Let’s make the most out of your neighbourhood!

Purpose of this survey

Based on what we heard from the community during the last phase of engagement - Building a Project Vision Together and Exploring Opportunities - we have developed a number of options and features for you to consider. When adding and adjusting what the neighbourhood looks like there are often constraints and tradeoffs to make everything work well together. Please refer to the design options package or project videos located on edmonton.ca/BuildingHairsine for reference and more information.

The purpose of this survey is to understand your preferences for specific options and features. Your input will be used to REFINE current ideas before incorporating them into a draft design. Please provide your feedback via the following survey before Oct. 18, 2022.

This engagement survey will include the following topics:

  1. Vision & Guiding Principles

  2. Exploring Options and Tradeoffs

    1. Biking, driving and traffic safety

    2. Walking, rolling and public transit

    3. Open spaces

  3. Demographic Questions

  • Through the Exploring Options and Tradeoffs stage of the process, we will have a conversation about the benefits and tradeoffs of potential options. To see where this stage falls in the process, please see the roadmap. We will use the feedback from this conversation to identify what the community, as a whole, deems important to maintain and what is flexible when making changes within the neighbourhood renewal design.

This survey will take approximately 15 minutes, you will be directed to part three upon completion.
