I think that despite providing maps in the videos, people are focused on the entire site, not the subdivided south lot that is the one that will potentially be developed. It is the farthest away from the existing school site and when a development application IS put forth for that lot, people will again have a chance to offer feedback on the application.

My key concern is traffic flow and parking. Why? Primarily because of the children who walk to and from school . Parked vehicles create vision problems and raise the risk to children. I would be happy to see a childcare or senior's care bldg, but not a place where young adults learn as they often drive vehicles and need to park .

We love this space as it is - a park. We don’t need or want religious groups/churches, or yet more strip malls, etc eating up green space.

As community members in Kiniski Gardens, my husband and I would like to see this space left as is. It should remain as recreational green space to be used by the community. We do not want any more traffic in the area, which is full of children who use nearby park. LEAVE IT ALONE.

Leave it recreational

So many youth previously used that site for soccer and there was much enjoyment for the youth and the people in the neighborhood. But a previous alderman got sweettalked into thinking selling the land would bring lots of money and then future taxes. Well that alderman is an MP now and couldn’t give a hoot about us.Give the land back to the youth for their healthy endeavers. Get extra money by managing the city more efficiently.

Leave it the way it is, or build them into a park area with trees and paths for the community to enjoy.

I think developing these sites to have things like daycares and services and or seniors housing will be a great addition to the community. I personally would love to see mixed-use coffee shops, daycares community-based services and bakerys. I think it would greatly enhance the community.

This should be left as a green space. In the summer time, there are always people enjoying the space!
I do NOT support the rezoning as it will increase traffic in our quiet neighborhood.

In general, I support the proposed rezoning with conditions. I support the proposal to change a portion of the lot from Urban Reserve Zone to Urban Park Zone. However, I do have concerns with the proposal to change the remaining portion from Urban Reserve Zone to Urban Services Zone. Given the proximity of the lot to an elementary school and associated playground, I do not support some of the discretionary uses under the US designation. Specifically, I do not support allowing Detention and Correction Services, Extended Medical Services, Group Homes, and Temporary Shelter Services in the proposed US area.

Re-zoning from AGU to US and AP seems to restrict the practical uses for surplus land in a low-density residential neighbourhood. Zoning for RMD, RF6, or RA7 would seem to make more practical sense, if the Real Estate Branch is looking to sell these parcels of land.

This should be left as a green space for people in the neighbourhood to enjoy with their kids and dogs. Edmonton prides itself on being one of the cities in North America with the most amount of green space. Nature is good for people. Keep it green, please!

I would really like to see both of these spaces converted into AP's designed for children and families to enjoy. Currently this space dated and can be overrun by adults without kids during the summer months (Seems to serve as a meeting place). For these reasons the space in it's current state is unattractive for families in the area. The existing park and this additional rezoned AP green space should be redesigned and modernized to attract more families and kids. This will undoubtedly have a positive effect long term for the Kiniski Garden's Neighbourhood.

I am ok with parceling of the land but would be upset if there was religious temple placed in this location.

With this being proposed on one of the few accesses to the neighbourhood there is already enough traffic without adding to it. This is only 1 of 3 exits from Kiniski Gardens to 34st and living on one of those access streets myself I know what the traffic is like. Leave it alone and let the residents of this community enjoy what little green space this city has. With Meadowbrook centre and Riocan and all the businesses around there so close we don’t need anything else

It is about time this area gets inhabited. I am tired of the dog feces not being picked up. It also stinks in spring. I back on to it and always am scared of break ins as my house is exposed at back. I am also concerned about of not having enough classrooms in the neighbourhood schools due to seeing UGLY portables. I am happy that it is not a CONDO project. A hospital, rec center or a school would be a welcome thing for us. I do sense some people being ethnic phobic with comments like A MOSQUE? Oh no! I am not sure what it would be but ask yourself that Certainly 70% of the MIllwoods people can't be asked to go pray or send children to school to farms by Beaumont . Any nice institutional type of building would be a welcome addition. Thank you.
