Mill Woods & Meadows District Plan Repeals

The City Plan has put the need to simplify our policy landscape into sharper focus. District plans will contain the most current directions from The City Plan. As Edmonton transitions from over a hundred area plans to 15 district plans, Edmonton’s planning system will become more predictable, efficient and effective so it can direct and inform Edmonton’s long-term growth and development.

The City has reviewed every area plan and has recommended which plans can be repealed, amended or retained. For a full list of proposed plan repeals check out the District Planning - Plan Repeal List

A small matter, but since Hillview neighbourhood is up for renewal, we suggest that a few benches and more garbage cans be placed beside the walkways in the neighbourhood. There are several benches by the walkways in Greenview to the north of us but none in Hillview. We walk daily (and are growing ever more senior) and sometimes we'd just like a place where we could sit down for a bit.

NO more destroying green space in existing residential neighbourhoods for condensed housing. We bought in our area for the parks for our children to play...There is an empty concrete pad on the corner of 86street and millbourne road. Put housing there. Stop destroying green space.
