Good place for density, but I thought I remembered seeing that either the rezoning or ARP called for commercial units or active frontages facing the transit centre on the south; even if I'm not correct on that, I'm not sure why it would be omitted as it seems to me it would be an excellent place for retail shopping and services, and provide much-needed "eyes on the street" to help provide a better sense of safety and security (unlike most of our transit centres which are isolated and do not feel safe for many people).

ABSOLUTELY NOT!! there is already so much congestion from the lrt, 66st is already horrible and backed up. There's so much more crime in the area because of the lrt. Putting huge towers in will only make it worse! I've lived in millwoods for 21 years. It went to hell the min that lrt went in. That mall is the staple for the community. Tearing that down will ruin millwoods forever.

I am in full support of this proposal. Creating density around the new Valley Line is the best way to ensure taxpayer investment into LRT is put to good use. This will also allow Edmonton to grow without further costly suburban sprawl.

FAR, FAR TOO TALL FOR THIS AREA!!!!

Density is great for a much more vibrant Millwoods. TC area needs to be the hub for southeast and more density would make it much more appealing and benefits the areas surrounding it. Traffic shouldn't be a concern to progress. I support this!

I approve of higher density in this area and having more housing on the LRT line, as long as the new buildings don't get in the way of bike paths. That area is already a mess of non connected paths. I wouldn't want it to get any worse.

Millwoods is already congested enough with LRT, all this will do is make it much more congested and difficult to get around due to increased traffic in area. Roads in millwoods were not built for this much traffic. I moved back to millwoods after living out in the country for 7 years and find it beyond frustrating trying to drive these roads as it is now. If these towers go up it will make trying to get around millwoods near impossible in an appropriate amount of time. Please don't not allow millwoods to become more difficult to live in, I personally grew up in and love millwoods and don't want to be forced to move again.

I agree with this plan. The ground floor should consist of commercial spaces, especially if there is an expectation of high pedestrian traffic. The increased setback should be additional green space to improve the area's health.
This should also improve the viability of Millwoods Town Centre and attract additional businesses.

While housing densification is desirable and having residential units with access to public transportation is important, this proposal would eliminate walkable/cyclable access to food shopping and other amenities. To have people use the LRT to get to work and then require them to use their car for everything else seems contradictory. Right now the only grocery store that is close is the Sobeys on 23rd Street. It seems the developers intend to have limited commercial spaces, probably a coffee shop or take out restaurant. If the intention is to create a community; how would that be accomplished if LRT riders disembark to be faced with a huge parking lot and apartment building in the middle of a food desert. Developed thoughtfully, this area could be a destination for others on the LRT line.

No need for having massive disruptive tower in this area. I say no to this development

Our roads infrastructure will not be able handle such a increase to population growth.
Schools are already busting at the seams.
Adding more people here does not make any sense.
We should ensure our public services are at a level to sustain this private sector investment.

The tower hight is inconsequential and should be approved.

What are the reasons for the setbacks? more trees? This is an future urban dense space and thusly the project should reflect that. push the buildings up against wider sidewalks.

Not a good move let the mall be like this n may be attract more business there
