In July and August of this year, the City asked residents to share their traffic safety concerns and perspectives in the neighbourhood, and 127 residents responded. The results of this engagement are available in the What We Heard Report.
Residents stated their biggest street safety concerns are speeding, crosswalk visibility and unsafe intersections. Residents would like to see restrictions on road parking, speed humps and other traffic calming measures as well as flashing crosswalks.

The City of Edmonton’s Vision Zero Street Labs use adaptable measures to improve street safety at the neighbourhood level. These adaptable measures can reduce speeding, shortcutting, and other risky driving behaviours.
A Street Lab is currently being explored in The Orchards at Ellerslie, and we would like to hear from you about what you’re experiencing in the neighbourhood.
The purpose of this survey is to:
Understand what and where the traffic safety concerns are in the neighbourhood
Gain insight into possible traffic safety solutions
You can also give location-specific feedback through the mapping tool.
