  • CLOSED: This survey has concluded.

As part of the City of Edmonton’s Vision Zero Street Labs Program, a Street Lab was recently installed in the Parkallen neighbourhood. Street Labs use adaptable measures that create an opportunity to trial new solutions to increase traffic safety. This Street Lab includes:

Curb extensions at 111 Street and 68 Avenue, 112 Street and 67 Avenue, and at 112 Street and 70 Avenue

    • Curb extensions improve safety and visibility of pedestrians crossing the roadway, slow vehicles and calm traffic by visually narrowing the street, and prohibit people from parking close to the crosswalk, creating clearer sightlines for all road users

Speed humps at 110 Street and 66 Avenue and at 112 Street and 70 Avenue

    • Speed humps slow traffic

Two-stage crossing at 112 Street and 72 Avenue

    • Two-stage crossings narrow the road in order to:

      • Encourage safer speeds

      • Reduce the crossing distance, increasing crossing opportunities by allowing people to cross one lane at a time

We would like to hear from you about your experience with this Street Lab. Your feedback will be used to help us evaluate the program, make improvements for future Street Lab projects, and inform possible adjustments to the Parkallen Street Lab. The survey will remain open until Tuesday, October 26.
