February 13, 2024 Update

A Vision Zero Street Lab, which uses adaptable traffic calming measures to increase street safety, is being explored in Parkdale!

The City conducted engagement from September 26 to October 17, 2023. Many thanks to everyone who took the time to share their experiences and insights with us. A report summarizing What We Heard during the engagement period is now available here.

The City has determined that a Street Lab will be pursued in Parkdale. Details of the Parkdale Street Lab will be shared as the process moves forward into the next steps: Plan, Install, and Evaluate.

October 18, 2023 Update: Engagement Complete

The City conducted engagement from September 26 - October 17, 2023. And all tools are now closed.

Many thanks to everyone who took the time to share their experiences and insights with us.

City staff are now working to review the results and compile a What We Heard report to share our learnings back with community members. When available, the report will be added to this page.

Your feedback will be used in conjunction with technical data to decide if a Street Lab is the best solution for the street safety issues the neighbourhood is facing, or if another Safe Mobility program would be more appropriate.

  • CLOSED: This survey has concluded.

The City of Edmonton’s Vision Zero Street Labs use adaptable measures to improve street safety at the neighbourhood level. These adaptable measures can reduce speeding, shortcutting, and other risky driving behaviours.

A Street Lab is currently being explored in Parkdale, and we would like to hear from you about what you’re experiencing in the neighbourhood.

The purpose of this survey is to:

    • Understand what and where the traffic safety concerns are in the neighbourhood

    • Gain insight into possible traffic safety solutions

You can also provide location-specific feedback through the interactive mapping tool.
