Southeast District Plan Repeals

The City Plan has put the need to simplify our policy landscape into sharper focus. District plans will contain the most current directions from The City Plan. As Edmonton transitions from over a hundred area plans to 15 district plans, Edmonton’s planning system will become more predictable, efficient and effective so it can direct and inform Edmonton’s long-term growth and development.

The City has reviewed every area plan and has recommended which plans can be repealed, amended or retained. For a full list of proposed plan repeals check out the District Planning - Plan Repeal List

In the Southeast District:

Area Plans Proposed for Repeal
Area Plans Proposed for Retainment
Area Plans Proposed for Amendment
Cloverdale ARP
Maple Ridge Industrial ASP
None
Urban Design Strategy for Cloverdale
Pylypow Industrial ASP

Southeast Industrial OP

Recognizing the benefits of plan repeals, please identify anything you think we should consider as we move forward with this process.

Bicycle pathways or lanes from neighbourhoods to shopping areas would be great for communities i.e forest heights to Bonnie soon or to the capilano shopping area. Biking is faster than ETS but it would be great to make it safer/ more direct to heavily visited areas
