Last fall, Edmontonians shared their feedback on the first draft of the new Zoning Bylaw, "Know Your Zone" Rezoning Map, and new online platform for the Zoning Bylaw through open houses, pop-ups, virtual and in-person workshops, "Chat with a Planner" meetings and the Engaged Edmonton website.
Analysis of Phase 2 Feedback & Additional Refinements

May 1 - 31, 2023: Refine- Level Engagement: Closed
From May 1 to 31, 2023, residents, special interest groups, public institutions and industry members were invited to share feedback on the draft Zoning Bylaw, Overview of the New Zoning Bylaw and “Know Your Zone” Rezoning Map by using an online guided feedback tool to comment directly on the draft bylaw and Overview of the New Zoning Bylaw, booking a one-on-one ‘Chat With a Planner’ virtual meeting or using the ‘Ideas’ tool, and attending virtual information sessions.

From June 1 to July 30, 2023, Edmontonians are invited to share general input on the draft Zoning Bylaw through an online survey, using the ‘Ideas’ tool, or emailing the Zoning Bylaw Renewal Team.

From June 1 to July 30, 2023, Edmontonians were invited to share general input on the draft Zoning Bylaw through an online survey, using the ‘Ideas’ tool, or emailing the Zoning Bylaw Renewal Team.
The City will review all of the feedback and perspectives gathered during this engagement period. Any new or previously unconsidered comments may be used to refine the draft Zoning Bylaw before it is finalized and presented at the scheduled City Council public hearing on October 16, 2023.
