Ritchie Street Lab

Engagement has concluded

Drop-In Information Session

The Ritchie Vision Zero Street Lab plan will be shared at a drop-in information session on April 11. We invite Ritchie community members to meet the project team, ask questions and learn more about how we are improving street safety in the Ritchie community!

Date: Thursday, April 11, 2024

Venue: Ritchie Community League Hall (7727 98 St NW)

Time: 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Engagement has concluded

The City conducted engagement from May 1 to May 29. And all tools are now closed.

Many thanks to everyone who took the time to share their experiences and insights with us.

A What We Heard report is now available here.

The feedback shared in this What We Heard Report was used in conjunction with the City’s engineering expertise and technical data, to determine if a Street Lab is the best solution to address the street safety issues or if another Safe Mobility program would be more appropriate.

The City has determined that it will pursue a Street Lab based on feedback received from the neighbourhood.

  • CLOSED: This survey has concluded.

The City of Edmonton’s Vision Zero Street Labs use adaptable measures to improve street safety at the neighbourhood level. These adaptable measures can reduce speeding, shortcutting, and other risky driving behaviours.

A Street Lab is currently being explored in Ritchie, and we would like to hear from you about what you’re experiencing in the neighbourhood.

The purpose of this survey is to:

    • Understand what and where the traffic safety concerns are in the neighbourhood

    • Gain insight into possible traffic safety solutions
